POI Finder

Hi,

I've searched for these issues and did not find an answer. If it's been posted already, please feel free to direct me.

The map spoiler that came with the ProfitUI didn't work. So I've tried downloading the enhanced map spoiler (POI Finder) and it doesn't work either. I've edited all necessary files as instructed. Any ideas?

Works for me, so please try installing again and follow the instructions very carefully.

Describe the problem plz. Doesnt work is hard to fix.

I just upgraded to the latest POIFinder from Mothers MapSpoiler and I did not have any problems. I am not on the latest version of ProfitUI though.

As SirMag pointed out its hard to figure out the problem without details. But I use ProfitUI as my interface as well so it definitely should work. Most of the time it seems to be an issue with the mainhud file so pay special attention to that. Try Re-extracting that file from your profit zip download and modify it as specified on the POI Finder download page.

I had mapspoiler and installed the latest ProfitUI last week, then upgraded to POI Finder with no problems, so it definitely works

By "not working" I should have clarified that it simply did not display. It did not appear to be there at all. Nothing on my map window to toggle it, etc.

However, I resolved the issue by downloading and installing the latest version and that corrected whatever the issue was. (I still don't know what it was because I changed nothing on my end... just installed the newest version.)

Thanks for the assistance anyway. It's much appreciated.

Off the topic, but I'm curious what your top bar displays? My husband and I downloaded profit UI reborn on the same day and his top exp bar displays different stats than mine does. Mine shows run speed, hp/power regen, status, and weight. His shows a number we can't figure out what it's supposed to be reporting, his tradeskill percentage, % to the next level, etc. It has us boggled why it's different. Is there a toggle somewhere we are missing?

TIA,

~Kir

You may have figured it out by now, but the toggle is the "frame and titlebar" settings in the window settings of the window (you can also play with the opacity sliders for some advanced setups :)). The same goes for most windows in ProfitUI btw.

i know when poi finder first came out people have had blank screens and it was to due to they had the line you had to add to the main hud xml file in the wrong spot xml is really picky about placement of stuff. i have it well with my profit ui along with shrink map mod also.

also remembered you need to remove the spoiler entrry from the xml file to or it can mess stuff up too and tries to load both at once

I actually had NOT figured that out. *slaps forehead* Thank you!

Question though, on the bar that shows adventure, tradeskill, and guild xp, I'm not clear what the last number is reporting. When I hover over the number it says weight.. but I know "5" is not my weight. I thought it might have been rounding it off? But when my weight is 50, it said '6' on my lil fae illusionist (not pictured - this is my guardian stats and my weight on her is over 200.. so the 5 makes no sense if it's weight).

Here's a screenshot of what I mean:

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I haven't been able to figure it out.

I think the 5 in the last place is the number of guild memebers on .

That's correct. Will fix/add appropriate tooltips, must have forgotten about that.

Kirianna 04-26-2007 10:36 AM

Ah ha! That makes sense. Guildies were switching in and out of the game yesterday fixing their UI's after the update so that number kept changing. So I was boggled. It isn't a game stopper by any means, just one of those "what does it MEAN?!" type things, heh.

Thank you for clearing up my confusion. :)

Don't worry, the UI is a bit complex, it takes time figuring it all out and I'd wager that the very large majority of the users do not know all functions and options.

With the new author portal I'll try to take the opportunity and get it all better documented (first efforts of that are already visible :)).
