No Fetish UI windows showing
 

I dled the Fetish Nightfall v8.2 and followed the instructions but all it seems to have done to my UI is have reduced the size of the default sony UI windows. Which is kinda fine cause I wanted smaller windows and that's why I was looking at different UIs, but now I'm curious to as why it only shrank the windows and didn't give me the new looks. Any suggestion would be appreciated, Thank you.

Sounds like you might not have installed it right if its not turning everything a nice deep purple (smoooooke on the waaater... erm, sorry). Did you extract everything so that it looks like this:

EQ2
->UI
--->Fetish
----->images
------->icons
------->maps

----->eq2map
----->infocenter
------->Whole buncha folders

----->layouts

Yep everything looks like that. And I have no Fetish, nothing purple. : (

In your EQ2 directory, do you have an eq2.ini file?

You need such a file, to tell EQII which UI to use. The file needs to contain at least the following two lines:

cl_ui_skinname Fetish
cl_ui_subdir UI/

The above assumes you installed Fetish 8.2 in the directory EQ2/UI/Fetish. If not, you will need to replace 'Fetish' and 'UI' with what you have on your system.

FYI: If you use EQMAP to lanuch EQII, the EQMAP downloader lists what the UI directory is, just to the right of its 'OPTIONS' button.

Yes the .ini file is correct. I've checked that like 15 times now. Still nothing, as far as I know I've done everything right which is why this is so annoying. And I have also gotten rid of everything fetish at least 5 times and redownloaded and unzipped again 5 times.

Haha I got it to work finally. I made a copy of the default ui and then deleted everything in the copy and then copied everything from the fetish folder to that and told the .ini file to look at that back up default and now it's working, go figure. Thanks for all the advice, sometimes the answer is some obvious which was the suggestion I got but I had tried all those so it was time to get creative. Thanks again. :nana:

Very strange. All I can think of is that there was something up with the previous directory name.

I know that with 8.2 (I think), the Fetish directory changed (by default) to FetishNightfall rather than just Fetish. Maybe that was the issue.

Nope that wasn't the problem either, I tried that as well. But doesn't matter since I got it working anyways the other way.
