Group Window Mods

3 Attachment(s)
I am quite baffled as to why the group window information is hard coded. The info seams to be sent to the folder name insted of some DD's. The problem im having is I am trying to compact the window down very small. The area of the folders is overlapping and even tho the locations are correct when I fill the group the boxes align side by side. heres an example.

This is the basic idea with overlapping

What I get - Notice how the windows align themselves directly under each other? the lower grp member shoudl be to the right about 20 pixels.

Image from UI Builder that shows the size of the Grp member 1 folder resizing dont seem to fix the location problems.

What I'm wondering. Are the Locations of the group members hard coded to not overlap beacuse the folder name is what the information is sent too? If so they better impliment some DD so we can mod to our liking. For now until someone can shed some light I'll make an ugly mod to what I have.
Thanks for your help.

I've got no clue, haven't messed with it yet.

Each group member is nested in two seperate pages, do you have BOTH pages set with the location and size correctly?

oh so you're saying the pages automatically align? try moving everythng around inside the pages. remember you can use negative numbers for the location.

i'm pretty sure my pages overlap.. maybe its a ui builder prob.

Make sure the size of every "window" (like group name had it's own red outline window) does not overlap. The game won't allow this too happen with the group window elements unlike some others.

See the red outline on GroupMember1 here overlaps to the other one, cant have that :) Got to be all neat and snug for this puppy

The elements inside the main groupmember page I think can be bigger than the window but the parent one shouldnt overlap

Couple things figured out

Just a few things I found out while modding the group window.

1)The group member names seem to snap to a vertical or horizontal alignment no matter where you place them. This would explain why the group window can be sized horizontal and vertical. Im looking for a way to get around the alignment so i can place them to my liking. If you know the secret please share.

2)The Groupmembers folder size must include the 5 Groupmember1-5 folders. The folder size of the Groupmember1-5 determines what is displayed. The playerinfo and the lfg stuff must be within this folder size or it will not be displayed. The subfolder sizes dont mattter.

3)The LFG buttons must be in each Groupmember folder or they will not be displayed. There is no way that I can find to have 1 button there all the time in a permanent location. Great idea huh?

I'll keep playing but this window doesnt look too promising.

Have you tried giving the text different Alignments and Sizes? That might give you what you need.

Yes I have moved the text and all the hp bars. The Whole set of group member info still snaps to a perfect alignment. It has to be hard coded. I'll have to wait for DD to be created for the group members. Until then, if anyone finds out a way to avoid this alignment let me know.
