Disappearing personabar and sound probs

Every time i relog on Fetish Nightfall, my Personabar disappears and when i turn off background and combat music, they both turn back on, on a relog..

Trying Fetish Classic to see if this bug remains.

I had notice the personna bar disappearing also everytime i log off and log back on. I had look thru the the eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml and doping a wrod search in my crimson editor for personabar.

I had gone thru every line that keeps popping up with the word personabar, but can't find out how to set the visibilty to true. Could you or someone tell me what line number and what need to be change to kleep the personabar up.

Thanxs

A: Custom windows like Personabar often do not save their settings unless you manually move them and tweak them via the "Window Settings" dialog.

To open the Personabar, use any of the following methods:

- Toggle the clock with Alt + C.
- Open the Persona window and click the small "P" button in the titlebar.
- Type the following chat command /show_window MainHud.Personabar (Caps matter).

I already know that, and done that. I want my persona bar to stay up when i log back in and not have to go thru all that. in 7.0 and 7.5 I had to go into a certain file and change visibilty=false to true. and I can't rember what file it was, I thought it was the eq2ui_mainhud_persona.xml, I can't find it in the 8.0 not unless i'm looking in the wrong file.

You shouldn't need to edit anything. Just show the window, then manually move the window around a bit and fidle with the window options.

The game often doesn't save custom windows unless they are manually adjusted.

To be extra certain it always stays visible after its open, you can add this bit of code to the first page element
Code:

OnHide="visible=true"
but this probably wont make the window launch as visible to begin with.

Just FYI: I never managed to have a custom window openend upon login just relying on its visible state either in the uisetting or the XML. As you said, the OnHide code won't help either.

I load custom windows via an OnShow command in the XP window - from your FAQ quote above I suspect that you're already doing the same via the clock window. Maybe there's an issue in doing it via that window, no idea.

Having this same issue as well. Tried all the fixes to no avail.

I recently had to rebuild my wife's machine and install EQ2 and the Fetish UI from scratch. After manually relocating the window and fiddeling with window settings, it does open on launch every time.

And the new ClickStrike window was open the very first time I added it to the set.

Yes the code to auto-show both these custom windows is attached to the clock. Some other clock probably wont include the required code.

the thing is on all of my alts when i get on them the personabar is there, but on my main character it's not. I had to go thru to bring it up everytinme i get on my main. probably somthing i'm missing i don't know why it affect my main and not rest of my alts.

Zonx 12-25-2006 10:05 PM

Well if its working as you want it on an alt you can always use /load_uisettings to copy settings from an alt over to your main ;)

I done that zonx and it still won't keep the persona bar up for him. but i'm still working on resolving this issue i'm having.
