POI difficulty
Ive been on and off this site for hours over the past day or 2 and Ive looked and looked and Ive tried everything that seemed relevant. Howveer ever since installing EoF I cant get ANY POIs to show up at ALL. It doesn't matter where... I've tried old zones, new zones, indoor, outdoor, etc etc etc. I checked the rivervale thread, I checked a few others and just can't seem to fix this. I've tried updating several times, done all sorts of stuff. Please help.

Thanx for trying to help
I had already read that entire thread. None of it helped, the fog thing isnt a problem with me.. I have the fog check button, and all that. Just nothing that gives any evidence that updater is working on my comp. No coordinates, no colored dots. Im getting by using the maps on the site here but would really love to be able to play fullscreen again. Thank you for trying to help. Still nada.

Sounds like the best course of action would be to uninstall eq2maps then reinstall it and let it update your custom interface folder.
Have you tried that yet? Also verify you have a eq2.ini file in your EverQuest II directory and that it is pointing to your custom interface folder. Also verify eq2map updater is setup to populate that folder with the interface items. I could be wrong though... |
So, I am having the same trouble and I did re-install eq2maps, also my eq2.ini is directing to my custom folder.
Is the EQ2map folder supposed to be in the everquest directory or my custom folder? I know this must be simple but...perhaps panic has caused me to be confused. |
a bit of help

it needs to be in your custom folder hope you get this solved - let us know |
If your INI is pointing to the desired custom UI directory, running the eq2Maps Updater will create and download everything you need. Just run the updater and you should be ok.
If you're using the manual install, directory structure is as follows... Everquest II |_UI ....|_Custom UI ........|_EQ2Map ........|_Images ............|_Icons ............|_Maps The EQ2Map (no 'S') directory should contain a long list of XML files. The Images/Maps directory should contain a long list of DDS files. |
I am not sure which install I am using, I did download the updater version that auto-checks for new maps and downloads them for me.
I have re-installed the latest version of the eq2map updater into my custom UI file and in the updater options I have chosen for it to save updated maps to my custom UI. Will post on what happens with this latest install attempt. |
Weee Fixed! I had all the eq2maps going into the wrong directory at some point in re-installation so I was only seeing default maps when my custom UI was loaded.
Hot Damn! :D Thanks for the help guys. |
