Really Strange Error since EOF install

I have two computers both with xp sp 2 both with .net 1.1 installed. One has i.e. 7 and other has version 6. At the same time they both got this problem.

Basically I click the updater, it comes up then about the time its getting files it begins to spam 100's of pop-up error windows which say this:

Error: System.Windows.Forms
at System.Windows.Forms.ProgressBar.set_Value(Int32 value)
at WindowsApplication7.Form1.dlw_ProgressChanged(DownloadWorker& sender)'-391800' is not a valid value for 'value'. 'value' should be between 'minimum' and 'maximum'.

if i manage to kill the spam then i get the following message in a final pop-up:

File: world_map_overlay.dds
mscorlib

I have tried uninstalling everything, reinstalling it with no luck. i even uninstalled net 1.1 and redid it nothing. I tried downloading the newest manual one and replacing all files then running updater and still same errors.

I love this program hehe any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

Thats just weird. Did you redownload the updater itself, being sure to completely remove the old one before reinstalling?

yep i completely uninstalled it and removed all files at least 3 times now. i even tried standing on one foot, lol its got me completely baffled.

i am going to try this weekend uninstalling it once more and doing a manual clean of the registry, but it is still so weird that it affected both computers at almost the same time. There had to be a automatic update that messed it up.

ok finally solved this, i have computer associates internet security 2007. i have the updater set to unblocked and green lights all the way. not sure as to what else might need to be flagged ok for the firewall but the firewall is blocking something that the updater needs cause soon as i turned off the ca firewall the updater began working again.
