EOF Beta - Faydwer maps not appearing
 

I am in the EOF Beta, and I just moved my EQ2 maps over to my EQ2beta fold now that you have the maps in the game.

I have an odd problem and would appreciate some help.

The old zone maps from my EQ2Maps show up just fine. But none of the new maps for Faydwer are showing up. And I did move my EQ2.INI file over along with the directory I store the EQ2Maps in so I don't understand why the EQ2maps version of the older maps are showing up but none of the ones for the Faydwer continent are showing up.

The maps wont show if your using an older version of eq2map. you need to use the latest version from the updater. To get the updater to update in your beta folder open up the eq2map updater then click on the options button and change both paths to your beta install location.

Right now we are having problems with the custom icons overlaying on EoF maps and I hope to get that fixed soon but you should however see the EoF maps with the latest version from the eq2map updater.

I am using the 1.06 version of the Updater. And it usually has auto-updated the updater when there is new version available.

Will I need to reinstall EQ2MAP when EOF is officially released on Tuesday?

I have the updater installed in a separate directory -- could that be a problem.

The updater is most likely updating the the EQ2Live files and not EoF beta files. You have to manually tell the updater to update the EoF files and not EQ2Live files. See Dolby's post on how do to that.

Actually I only update the files on Live -- I always copy the directory from the UI and the INI file to either beta or test depending on which one I am updating. ANd it has worked fine for test.

So I checked and the new files are in my UI directory on Beta.

But I have one additional folder -- not from you but probably from SOE -- labeled exp03 as they are dated 10/26 but I looked at the files and they seem to be supporting SOE's interface changes and hhave nothing to do with maps.

EOF- POI and TOOLTIPS not showin on level
 

not sure if this is teh place for this or not but, on the level of Joleenas restaurant the icons and poi disappear...when i go up or down they (the dots) come back but on that level and that level alone they all disappear. any ideas on how to fix?

I'm guessing because of the weird way you have to split up Gfay to get things right, the PoIs need to be expanded to go on that x,z,y range.

Nothing you can do personally, someone like Dolby has to look at it.

SOE's making it a pain it seems though, heh.

eq2map isnt working at all in EoF, and I update it everytime I log on...
