Was installing on a new computer for first time. received the above error(s). Eq2 was not launched if that info helps at all.

Try restarting and running it again, see if that helps.

"because it is being used by another process" sounds to me like you're trying to run the updater while in game.

Yep. But if they just installed it, who knows maybe their unzipping program or something is holding onto the files. /shrug.

When in doubt, restart and see if the problem will just go away /grin
