Gold Square and Sell Tab of Market Window
Hi everyone,
Is it still possible to have the gold square of 2005 that indicates a prepared skill? It seems to have disappeared since I've returned after a year of absence. Are there interfaces out there that go beyond this, such as a window that shows the name and icon of the prepared skill? With the sell tab of the market window, I was looking to modify the text that says "pristine strong box" etc. Namely changing it from a very large font to a normal font. It seems to result though in a complete loss of the buy and sales log tabs instead. What am I missing? I was wondering if someone would be able to guide me through the process. It seems like a simple change, that's been resulting in a lot of errors. Any advice appreciated. |
Could you post a picture of what you mean by "the gold square of 2005 that indicates a prepared skill"
I'm not quite sure what square you're referencing, or what you mean by a "prepared skill" =) |
i think he means the gold border we used to have in our hotbars when we'd put a spell/ca on queue

I completely agree with this... I just came back after about 10 months and have noticed that too. It'd really be nice to have it back.

The Queued Ability Indicator has never gone away, but, for some unknown reason, it was make extremely subtle. On the default hotkey bars, the buttons appear to have a partial double-line gold border -- the inner line pulses when the action is queued, but this is nearly invisible unless you are looking for it.
This appears to be the MainHUD/Hotkey/Volume/Frame #/Slot elements in the UI, though I don't have enough experience yet with the UIBuilder to try changing it. Maube someone else will have better luck. Examining a clean install of the original (unpatched) UI might reveal the pieces need to get back a more visible indicator. In-game you can get a partial "fix" by going to Options/User Interface/Game Colors/Queued Ability Indicator (near the bottom of the Game Colors list) and change it to something that contrasts better, such as magenta (full red & blue, no green). |
Oh. I think I still see an indication that something is queued, at least with Fetish Nightfall.
Come to think of it, I do sort of miss the larger gold border for a queued spell though. It did make it VERY easy to see if/what was queued. |
You need to edit the file icon_transp1.dds for the queue effect. I made the effect much broader in my UI for example since it was really hard to see.
