Invalid Username and Password
So after talking to tons of people, I was directed to the EQ2 Map program.
It installed fine. Updated all the maps. Brought the EQ2 disclaimer up. But when I put my username and password in... It says its invalid. And I was playing shortly before I installed it and double checked my account to make sure it wasn't inactive for some reason, but its good. So I uninstalled the program thinking that may help, but it still doesn't work. Help? |
Well,
If you're trying to log-in to EQ2, its not a problem with EQ2MAP. So, a few questions: First: Can you log-in on the SOE forums properly with that same account? If yes, then the problem must lie with Launchpad, or you're entering something wrong. If no... Have you used SOE's online system to recover your password? You can find it at this link: https://www.station.sony.com/secure/...e/password.jsp If no, try that. If yes... Could you reset your account? If yes, try using that info. |
And turn off CAPS LOCK, passwords are case sensitive. ;)

Well, the thing is I logged on to SOE, that's how I made sure my account was active.
Caps Lock was off, and I got on my roommates computer right after I tried on mine and it worked fine, then tried on mine again to make sure, so it wasn't EQ2. It fixed when I uninstalled the map and reboot my compy. Thanks, though. :D |
You should be safe reinstalling EQ2MAP if you want (I'd recommend it -- its a GREAT asset in-game).
EQ2MAP shouldn't have any affect on EQ2 logging in... in fact EQ2MAP isn't even running when you're logging into EQ2. |
EQ2MAP does not effect the login window or the Launch pad in any way shape of form Nor does the Auto updater. The OP must of entered the wrong info or their comp was sending the wrong key strokes or something. It's impossible for the EQ2MAP mod or any mod for that matter to effect the launch pad.
I also notice the OP didn't try rebooting their computer until after uninstalling and posting this issue. The issue would of most likely gone away if they would of tried this step after seeing something was wrong. I don't mean to sound harsh but to come and say something messed up ones game/computer before attempting to fix it and that includes rebooting just gets to me.. |
