Shattered Vale
 

I an in the Vale and the map is very blank, no mobs shown etc.
can this be updated or is it not complete? I used Tripps map and nothing
shows up in this map except a red dot. Masybe I missed something.
Ok i went back in the Vale and I checked the + sign on the top left corner and the only thing that was checked was the NAMEDS box all else was greyed out, maybe that need to be fixed so we can see it all.

The check box's are only grayed IF there is no POI page for that filter. So either there hasn't been any POI's submitted for them filters or something is wrong with the updater sending out files.

Ok here goes. I hape I can explain this correctly.
I am in the Vale, when I hit the "M" key to bring up the map it is completely void of any mobs, I know that there are a bevy of Giantslayers and their minions on the map, I had to kill them to get to the Magi's that populate the map towards the Stonehenge graphic, within that graphic are "Elder Magi" which cannot be targeted. As you can see where I am going with this, so far all of the maps in EQ2 have a myriad of dots varying in color showing me what is there, this one however lacks that information.

I am fairly new to EQ3mapper and need a dictionary to follow the acronyms
like what does POI mean?

POI = point of interest, an acronym used generally in cartography.

The reason that there is only one dot on the map is that nobody submitted more POI's so far. All the data in the project is player submitted. So go ahead and submit a POI to have it show in the map!

Since this map is reused for a number of instances, however, it's probably a good idea to keep it empty, i.e. flexible. It's not like you really need a map for this tiny zone anyway.

It dawned on me as to the reason the map is empty, it spawns a different boss depending on your success in killing them. So i am ok with that.
