More macro Icons please
 

Has anyone created an add on that would give people addidtional Macro Icons to select from? It seems EQ2 has a very limited Icon selection for their custom made Macro Feature.

Please direct me to a page if anyone has already made something for this.

It can't be done.

I know that you can not change the icons but where would one find the icon image files at?

I assume you can at least replace the awful default ones. IMO they should have provided a macro icon for every spell/skill icon in the game.

You can replace them, yes, but you cannot simply add more.

Some of the images are also reused elsewhere, so changing them can have sideeffects.

just as an example of changing icons around, i slapped this together. i simply pulled icons from various files. i haven't tested it, but i'm sure that i overwrote the yell icon and the mail icon ... oops. also, all of the socials use this same icon file so they'll probably be goofy once you install this. you can play with this yourself, in the .zip file is the .psd i used to generate this. each icon is in it's own layer.

to install, place the icon_ms1.dds file in your mod/images/icon directory
