Cycling Thru targets - is their a Mod For It?
In EQ1 you could cycle through targets using F8 - very handy if you had multiple mobs to mez and made for easy targeting and cycling through each mob.
Is their such a thing available in EQ2? Has someone written a mod/macro that will cycle thru targets? Not looking for anything fancy at all - don't even neede or want info about the target. I just want to cycle thru multiple targets which are linked so I get a certain debuff on each one while they are mezzed. Using the mouse is very, very awkward. Any help or info would be appreciated. :) |
Tab
Press Tab, it will cycle through all targetable NPC's excluding other players and player pets, its the same thing as F8 in eq1 :D :nana:

Alas the TAB key will pick up mobs that are not necessarily in a linked group - it has a broad net and you end up with something targeted that you have not attacked and is in your linked group. :( |
Look through your options under targeting ( something like that ) there is a command that works just like tab but will target the closes mob to you and not some random mob like tab does. Being a tank I switch to that and it helped 10 folds.

How TAB works....
While unengadged, TAB cycles through all targetable Mobs, NPC, and objects. While engadged, TAB cycles through only those Mobs in the targeted linked group. If already engadged, you must click or F8 to change to something outside the current linked group. Note: EQ2 nolonger considers you engadged when another player in your group attacks a mob or when gaining site agro. You must directly attack a mob, fire a proc effect, or buff an engadged group member to become engadged. |
I've got a similar question. I've noticed that "target_nearest_npc" (F8) starts with the mob to my left. I'd like it to start with the mob straight out in front of me. Is there any way I can tell EQ 2 that?
Edit: and is that the command Landlin was talking about? |
