That has nothing to do with EQ2MAP, it's a Sony bug.

are you sure since soe does not uses microsoft visual c++

Um, yes they do. That error is coming from EQ2, not EQ2MAP.

Yes they do. And the current EQ2MAP updater is Visual Basic .NET so it isn't that app.
