i just downloaded this program...
 
i get this error about its first update apon opening the program my computer meets all the requirements 10 fold

i have closed out all programs and uninstalled this program and reinstalled it but but i recieved the same error message please let me know what to do and how to fix it.

It's an update to your Windows that you need to have installed for EQ2Map to work.

Here's a link to the section in the EQ2Map FAQ that covers it. It's basically just a matter of going to the Windows Update site and tick the .NET download and the computer will do the rest. :)

Edit:

I just saw that the very next item on the FAQ (right underneath the .NET info) covers your problem hehe. Looks like a firewall setting issue.

i did both if the things you suggested and i am going to try this again thanks for all your help. now that you mention the firewall thing i think it might have been norton that was getting in the map programs way ty for your help! :D
