Enlarging journal and chat input font

I'm hopeless at making UI's and was wondering if anyone has made larger fonts for higher resolution use. My chat input ( where you type) is so small that my hunt and peck typing skills are showing as I can barely read what I'm typing. Also trying to read the journal/helper is nasty as well.

If they alreadu exist a point in the direction of them would be great. I couldn't find anything obvious on the downloads.

Attached is a modified fonts file that should help with the chat input. Size increased from 15 to 16 Bold. (Anything bigger would probably not fit in the chat line of the default windows.)

As for the journal, a generic increase in size would cause problems elsewhere, so you'd probably want to modify the journal xml. Which journal mod are you using? Or are you still using the default.

Thanks for the quick reply Death
I copied that file into my everquest II\ui\default\ folder and overwrote an older file ( backing that one up first), but still no change. I could of course be doing something wrong as I'm pretty green to UI mods.

I'm just using the ol generic UI and moved windows around, enlarged chat fonts and icons etc. I was using a control center I got from here ( like the fast change graphic quality setting ), but that disappeared after playing around with UIExtreme .. like I said .. serious n00b here!

You'll need to follow the instructions on this site's FAQ to setup a custom UI and install Death's file there. Changes to the default UI are automatically overwritten by the patcher.

Thanks, I just started reading it as I realized the file was being replaced. Starting to make some sense now!
