New Hotbar problems
I wanted to give the new SOE version of the Hotkey bar a try so I removed the mainhud_hotkey entry I was using from my UI folder. Trouble was when i logged in and right clicked the hotbar, selecting the new resize option, all the popped up was a black empty window.
To test I reloaded with a completely default UI and it worked ok, but I'd rather not scrap all the custom UI peices I'm using. Has anyone else had this issue and know which mod(s) are causing the problem? |
Most likely its because the custom UI you use modifies eq2ui.xml and is not including the new slider window. Most full suite UIs will probably have this problem.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll try comparing the default .xml to the one in my UI folder and see if I can find the missing lines. Thanks again.

My custom UI eq2ui.xml is identical to the default eq2ui.xml file yet i still have the same big black box problem.

Sorry when I posted to this I posted the wrong file. It is in eq2ui_hud.xml
You need to add an include for eq2ui_hud_slider.xml |
Yeah, I just figured that out and was coming back to post here again. Too bad the new default hotkeys have far too much empty space though.

Not sure, if i am posting in the right area or not, if not then i am truely sorry. but since the latest update, i am now having trouble with the hotbar settings, all I get when I rightclick on them, is Examine or queue, can't open the hotbar settings box, or unlock or lock...etc..etc...
if you can help me out please email me at [email protected]. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance. Lykos of the Nameless on Guk |
If you right click on a button all you get is "examine" or "queue"
Try and right click on the actual window border. I know most Interface Authors have it pretty slim since the main reason for editing SOE's window was to get rid of all the empty space. Another option is to right click in between the buttons although that is even tighter in some situations. If it's annoying, keep the sliders up or /feedback SOE to resolve their 1inch invisible border around windows so we will start using theirs. They are obviously very talented, I have no idea why they are leaving these windows like this... |
