bugged to heck
 

i was using a custom ui.
im trying a pure default and im still dying because all i do is get a black screen and cant' move or see ANYTHING
i am so sick of them fooling with stuff that isn't broken ... they need to worry about what's NOT WORKING right and stop wrecking the UI all the time .. im SICK of going ld because my UI isn't working right every time i turn around ..
i have crahsed about 6 times in half hour due to UI issues.. and it WAS working just FINE>.. lost a master chest and died becasue i went totally BLACK and coulnd't move or loot

Screen going entirely black has nothing to do with the UI. (Or is it just the UI windows going black?)

Also, your UI won't make you go linkdead. You have other issues.

If the letterbox style is missing your screen will go all black. As far as LD, hmm prob not but it can sure crash EQ and I then u go LD:P But if your are using default I don't see either of the two happening.

We all understand where you are commen from Steppin, but to help you we need a bit more info.

what did you do to switch back to default?
did you delete the eq2.ini file from the main everquest2 directory?

i renamed the custom ui and let the next log on revert me to default ui and it is still letting me go black windows and not able to move ...

Rename your eq2.ini to eq2backup.ini and do a full file scan of files next log on via the update patcher. This will ensure that you have all the correct default files. Renaming the eq2.ini will tell eq2 NOT to load ANY custom files and ONLY use default xml files from the default directory. Try this please.

Also make sure you haved turned you monitor on! :p lmao
