Where to download english version UI's?
 

ok, i am seeing all this stuff about loading UIs and what not but I have still yet to find where to download UIs. I have bought a german version of EQ2 but I need it in english and would like to play on english speaking servers. For one, I have not been able to find where to download this patch/addon for english? Where is this to download please help!!!!! And how do you get more servers available (english speaking servers)? If someone could dirrect me that would be great, I bought the game last night and spent 4 hours installing and trying to find the english version to download and 30 min playing......

Well we provide UI mods on this site in the downloads area sorted by category as far as a patch or something to change your version from german to english I am not sure wher you might find that. But most UI mods if not all found here are english :) hope this helped at least a little

It's not the UI that determines what language the game is in ... if the German version of the game is the same as the English one there's a drop down menu at the top right of the licence agreement window marked as Region Select (where you click accept before you see the login / password window).

Hopefully it's just defaulting to "German [DE]" and you can change it to either "English [EU]" if you want to play on a European server or "English [US]" for one of the US servers.

hmm ok, ill have to check the licensing screen (not at home now). If this isnt the fix, is there somewhere to download it? I read somewhere from some official forum that I could download the english version of the game if I bought the German version.

generally the only difference between the non english and english is the language files. but heres the key some computers in non english countries are not set up the same so they may need different loading programs etc. (IE: the chinese keyboard is definately different from the english.) anyways if on the eula you select the english language it'll download any differences between the two interfaces.

the interfaces presented here should work as they are just re-skinned windows, unless there is a code difference due to the language and computer programming. =) as people have said, most here are definately made for an english interface. =)
