I'm having the same problem, but my ui.log file is empty, no errors.

I'm using a lightly modified default UI and eq2map, nothing more.

Looks like what ever mod your using doesnt have the new default window elements needed for the new windowframe and graphics.

You can download the old eq2map frame at http://maps.eq2interface.com/POI_fil...ud_map_old.xml

rename eq2ui_mainhud_map_old.xml to eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml and overwrite the one in your custom folder. Then in the patcher go into the options and set it to prompt you if you want to overwrite the MAIN.hud and when it ever asks you if you want to overwrite the old mainhud map file choose no.

OR

Just find an updated interface. :)

Since PERDV8 was mentioned....

That error log is an old one to my knowlage it hasnt produced that output in some time now...

As another note NONE of my UI's have a custom map file in them they either use the default or the one that the Eq2 map updater places in there as per the users settings...

Dolbys instructions are good..... But I would like to point out if your still using any of my mods then delete "eq2ui_mianhud_map.xml" from your folder and let the map updater do it's stuff... ;)

Thanks for the help, worked like a charm. :)

i did this... what image file has the new windowframe and graphics ?

Vex 11-19-2005 07:32 PM

i deleted all the images except perdigraphics and perdigauge, i deleted the eq2map xml, so i was using the DEFAULT window... and its still broken.

this is amazingly annoying, and i dont want to switch to any other UIs because they either have really ugly bars or ugly text, or too cluttered.

Ok do this, rename your eq2.ini file to _eq2.ini. Then make sure there isn't a eq2map directory in your UI directory. Then run the autoupdater, this will insure you get the most current autoupdater files. Once that is done running, go into the UI > eq2map directory and copy eq2map, images, eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml. then got into the base directory of what ever ui mod you are using and paste. Over write any files. ( overwrite all ) Then delete the current eq2.ini and rename the _eq2.ini back to eq2.ini and that should do it.

i already did that too
