Trouble with LU15
It seems they have updated every single file with a new *style* frame etc. I was just going to ditch any pieces that were updated until the authors got around to changing them but everything is on the list =/
Tried twice so far and crashing after 10 mins. Then was trying to test with the default UI but I only lasted 5 mins before my brain exploded due to hotbars being SO MEGA HUGE! I have no idea about XML but it seems to me that if UI makers can make new styles that wouldn't be making me crash - but maybe the new effects/maintained/group *click thru* files could be a problem. Oh well gonna try out - at least I will be able to play - but play with a default UI - bah! |
To help you'll either need to include a list of files currently in your custom interface folder or link to each interface you are using. Also please include/attach the contents of your ui.log located in the root of your Everquest II folder.
edit: changed your subject title since a few people replied with out reading what your post was about and were going to take the thread off topic. If people want to talk about how ugly the interface thread is please make a new one in the UI User Discussion forum not in some ones help thread. |
Odd, I did reply again to this last night. Anyhoo, removing custom effects/maintained and group windows from my custom UI Dir stopped the crashing. All other custom pieces work fine.

Was your crashing involving "loading UI Resources" screen locking up?
This was fixed after DOF first went live and seemed not a problem till LU15. Now I am seeing it happen again. My custom effects/maintained all work as far as I know. They are my mods, but seems to not affect the game. Unless that is why I am getting this sporatic "Loading UI Resources" screen stop/hang. |
