Tooltips & Desert of Flames
 

After installing the expansion DoF and logging into game, I recevied an error stating my UI was not compatible with Tooltips. After some troubleshooting, I discovered that my Tooltips only work if I uninstall the EQ2map :( I am used to the map and hate to give it up, but I also REALLY need the tooltips (mouseover identifies details of item/spells without having to "examine" the item or spell).

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there anyway to have the EQ2map and the Tooltips?

Yes, edit the file EQ2UI.Fonts.xml that is in YOUR custom directory!!

Add the line

<TextStyle Algorithm="Simple" FontName="Zapf Calligraphic 801 Bold BT" Language="english" Name="Font_Tooltip" PointSize="15" PrivateFontPath="UI/Fonts/zcal801b.TTF" UseCachedFont="true"/>

before the </page>

save, restart EQ2

you must have somthing other then eq2map in that folder because eq2map doesnt have a eq2ui_fonts.xml

EQ map has nothing to do with tooltips not working as Dolby stated.

I uninstalled and re-installed the map and now everything is perfect. Thank you for everything anyway :)
