Beginner Questions
 

Well I have a few more than likely dumb questions but just getting into this I hope you can all bare with me. :)

I would like to try a custom UI, particularly Fetish Nightfall, but before I do I have a few basic questions.

If something goes wrong or I don't like it, can I go back to the stock UI with little difficulty?

Can I use a custom UI with a 1204x768 resolution?

Will installing a custom UI affect the skills I have on my hotbars on my 4 toons? Not sure how all that information is stored.

These are some of the more major questions I have, and I might have more along the way. If these questions have been answered before, please point me out to the location of the post, as I was unable to find any after doing a search on the website.

I did mean 1024x768 instead of 1204x768 resolution but I'm sure that was figured out.

Now that my fears are out of the way, it is time to start playing with this, thanks again!

Best thing I can suggest to you is this. Backup your Config file Titled something to the effect of this

toxxulia_somelongname_eq2_uisettings

(The name will be yourserver_yourcharactername)

That way if you do try the custom UI's and decide you do not like them, you can go back to the exact way you are playing right now with no interuptions

I followed the setup intructions to a tee and when I loaded eq2 per the insturtoins my ui was not working. I am still currently using the standard ui. What may be wrong. Please help!

Which instructions? What did you do?
