any plugin didnt load
Hello :)
Maybe im stupid, but i read FAQ how to install a plugin. I downloaded classicvert addon, unzipped it under UI directory. I created eq2.ini put this inside: cl_ui_skinname classicvert cl_ui_subdir UI/ (tried it in reverse way) Thats should be all, no? Well it didnt load, default skin still loads, but if i do /loadui, it appears there, i can choose it, but all numbers are wrong and after restart default skin is loaded, what im doing wrong? I have US version. |
While assuming your EverQuest 2 directory is here:
C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II The directory structure should look like so: eq2.ini (Tells EQ2 what mod to load) C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\eq2.ini \classicvert (Directory that contains all actual mod files) C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\classicvert(Note: files should be losely in this folder. For example, ensure they aren't like so "classicvert\classicvert\*.*" Hope this helps... |
Ok if you see the interface under the still kinda broken /loadui command you have the interface files in the correct location.
So that leads me to believe there is a problem with your eq2.ini file. Are you certain its not named eq2.ini.txt as explained here? Are you putting the eq2.ini file in your C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\ folder? It doesnt go in the UI folder. edit: bah, Faetyl beat me. ;) |
Faetyl : i got it, just like you said :)
Dolby : as you see on pictures below (i quickly did some screenshots) , everything should be fine, did i do something wrong? http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/1355/13rm.jpg http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/596/20bh.jpg http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/4632/30ny.jpg http://img105.imageshack.us/img105/9201/41be.jpg |
Right click on the eq2.ini and choose properties. I bet you it says its a text file and its real name is eq2.ini.txt. The reason I say this is that windows is hideing the .exe from your EQ2.exe in your first picture. The guide I linked in my above post should fix the problem.

yes, im idiot, it was it, i recently reinstalled windows and forget to uncheck in file properties to not show known file extensions ;) if you ever go to czech republic, ostrava, you got few beers for free :)
