Different UI for alts?
How do you create separate UIs for each character? I want the Provisioner Tradeskill window for one character, but the regular default tradeskill window for another character. Can I do that?

It is impossible to designate separate UIs for each character.
You can still have multiple UIs installed, but you will need to log out, change the eq2.ini file to correctly load the desired UI, then re-launch the game. You can use the /loadui command in-game, as well. One of the two methods will need to be used on each character (note: this way will load the desired UI using the same window settings currently used with the UI you're switching from. Since alot of UI packages are built to display the UI in a certain style, I recommend using the first, more annoying method, in order to keep the window layout for that particular UI). |
Thanks very much for a quick response! That's too bad though, one of the great things about the EQLive UIs was you could have a different skin for each toon - I had a leopard spellbook for my beastlord, and a sword graphic for my pally, etc.
Oh well maybe in the future! Thanks again! |
You will still need to log out and back in but there is a program to make switching a little easier. Check out the UI Switcher by Ger here: http://www.eq2interface.com/download...fo.php?id=3528

also if you already use the updater before you log in to eq each time, you can just go to the options window of it and change the ui directory and it will switch your eq2.ini for you to whatever you chose.

you can change ui inside of the game
I still don't know if you can make one for each alt but use /loadui [folder] and it will load it
warning it will be in build mode (ex. 99999999) till zone or a certain time after but that's better than having to log out :) I love bananas |
