Dou- Updater setup?
 

Anyone running the updater on normal server setup and on the test center setup?

I would like to join the test and use the auto updater like I do when I play on my normal server. Anyone have any idea to set this up?

The EQ2Map autoupdater?
If that's what you mean, I just copied the folder and made the second one point to test.

or simply use the shortcut labeled "EQ2MAP Updater Test Server" :eek: ;)

EDIT: the shortcut the installer makes with the most recent version is not working properly, so i will post a new one some time later tonight

EDIT #2: The newest version of the installer should set the shortcut for the test server up properly :D

EQ2MAP for Test command Line Options
 

What is the command line options that tell EQ2MAPS Updater that I'm using testeq2.exe? On the shortcuts that the installer makes it users /testserver, but that only puts an entry under my UI reference on the updater screen called Languange: Testserver.

Then errors out saying it can't load the game.

do you only play on the test sever? also i will add a way to tell it this in the next version of the updater (coming in about a week or so)

Nope I play both live and test. So have 2 shortcuts on my desktop that point to eq2map udater one with no command line options, for live, and the other that has the "/testserver", for test. So is that the right one to tell it to launch testeq2.exe instead of normal eq2.exe?

Just for reference i'm currently using version 1.0.6. Also when it installs it puts 2 shortcuts in the start menu with the exact same command line options. Just thought you should know.

hmm, i seem to have broken it for the test server when i was fixing soemthing, ill fix it.(normally it supposed to launch the test server)

ok, this one should work (i had forgotten a "/" when i was working on the code for the directory so thats why it wasnt working right :eek: )

just overwrite the exe file in the eq2map updater folder with the one in this zip.
