How to get EQ2 set up properly to load custom UI files?
I installed eq2maps.
.txt file reads as follows: Q. I just see the default map window. What is wrong? A. EQ2 isn't loading the customized map .xml file; either you put it in the wrong place or you don't have EQ2 set up properly to load custom UI files. Check eq2interface.com for assistance getting custom UIs to work Where do I find assistance getting custom UIs to work? I'm pretty sure I downloaded and installed everything as instructed and set up the eq2.ini file with the lines: cl_ui_skinname eq2map cl_ui_subdir UI/ This is my folder structure: C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI Default eq2map fonts images _mapinfo.txt eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml Of course, all the subfolders are complete too. What else do I have to change in the game configuration to make the game use the new maps? When I hit the m key to bring up the map for the zone I get the same map I always did, not the new map. |
the fonts/images/mapinfo/mainhud_map files are all supposed to be inside the eq2map folder

yea..you need to install eq2map into a subfolder of the ui folder, and then use that folder as your custom ui folder. you installed it right to your ui folder.
