ok... EQ2 map isn't working for me
 

Hello, I really like your map.. so I am trying to install it
well, I installed it fine.. and updated ......
there is nothing wrong... I followed all the steps

to try the map

I entered oakmyst forest.. and Downbelow....
NO MAP
well, I can see the world map ...but it's default one
I can't see the map that you made

there is nothing wrong with options... nothing wrong...

C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\Default\images\maps

This is.. where your maps are ...

one time I moved the maps to

C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\Default\eq2map

This location.... but still doesn't work......


what should I do?

How did the auto installer/patcher version let you install eq2map in the default interface folder? I didnt even know it would let you do this. It needs to be installed in its own folder in the UI directory otherwise the SOE patcher will overwrite all the files you changed in the default folder.

well, I made a new folder... and named eq2map
and placed it in UI folder...
I don't know how or why it did.... cuz I am not good at computer =(
anyway I coopied all the maps and pasted them in the new folder...

what should I do?

In your Everquest II folder there should be a file called eq2.ini and if you open the file in notepad the contents should look like this...

If it doesnt or you dont have a eq2.ini file you need to make one but the eq2map auto installer should have made one for you. (faq)
