Driving Me Insane!

UI install help..
ok ive been at this for over an hour now. i think its having to exit and reopen eq2 thats pissin me off the most.

heres the thing: i bought eq2 at launch, a friend turned me onto mods and this site. i dl'd a bunch of individual mods and got them all working in 20mins, thnx to the faq page. 3 months later i left eq2 and deleted my mod folder when i uninstalled it. so now me and a friend are returning and im tryin to get my old mods and some new ones working again (some of u do some outstanding work btw). been trying to get just 1 single/simple mod working so i know i got it right, but to no avail. and its a mod i had when i was playing b4... TKING_Celtic_Playerwindow

this is what i got..

in my eq2 folder i have my eq2.ini file, reading as follows
cl_ui_skinname cmods
cl_ui_subdir UI/

(that is an "L" in "cl" right? the text in the faq looks like a 1, which i tried that also)
(and yes, ive tried reversing the lines)

in my UI folder i made a folder called cmods, inside that folder i have an images folder C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\cmods\images

in the cmods folder i put the 2 .xml files and inside the images folder i put the TKING-Celtic folder , as per the readme directions.

it simply doesnt work, and im completely out of ideas. i got a few others mods i want to use. but if i cant get one working...

any help would be greatly appreciated, so thnx in advance.. the sooner i can get back to playing the better

Change

cl_ui_skinname cmods
cl_ui_subdir UI/

To this

cl_ui_skinname TKING-Celtic
cl_ui_subdir UI/

Place the TKING-Celtic folder in C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI

(that folder should have all the .xml files and a folder in there called images)

Any stand alone mods you wish to use after that the .xml files go in the TKING-Celtic folder and the .dds files (if any) will go into the images folder within the TKING-Celtic folder

;)

I could be wrong but I think the only folders in "images" are "icons" and "maps". In all the UIs I've tried the actual image files are in "images" not a subfolder.
Hope this helps.

Try adding the line - <include>eq2ui_tkingceltic.xml</include>
in your eq2ui.xml. I also quit playing for a long time and just recently came back. (I was thinking of finishing this mod someday). When i read your post i took a look at the zip files for the three tking pieces i had made and noticed i only included a copy of the eq2ui.xml in the group window. Without the above line you will not have any border :( sorry about that. I will probably continue this mod and get something more complete posted in a few weeks.

DOE..... Guess I check the downloads section before I post any help then, I was under the impression this was a whole UI, As the name did ring a bell from being one maybe from Eq1 then?

/shrug

Disreguard my instructions then as they probably wont work for whatever this is your trying to install
