already an eq2.ini file...what should i do??
 
Ok,heres my issue,I did what the tutorial on how to install custom UI said but there is already an eq2.ini for the EQ2 Map mod...what should i do???

Back it up then overwrite it.
If it goes wrong just restore from your backup.

(Easiest way to backup a file: I would suggest holding down your right mouse button on the file "Right Click and hold" then drag the file a bit and let go. You should then be given the option to "copy here". Select copy here and you should now have a "Copy of filename" If it goes bad after the overwrite, just delete the one that was overwritten and remove the "Copy of" from in front of the file name and your back to the original."

Just be sure to run the EQ2Map Updater before logging in.
It will detect the new location and pull down the new files.

also if you want you can just put interface mods into the folder that is already being used for the map updater. that folder (default of eq2map) is your custom ui directory and is already all set up in the eq2.ini file.

OR since you use the updater you dont have to make eq2.ini. if you make a new custom folder you can go into the options for the updater and there is a dropdown for what custom folder to use, choose whatever one you want and it will set up your eq2.ini file to use that folder :D hope that makes sense, if not let me know.
