Parsed Inventory/Bank
In EQ1, I used the Magelo program to do 2 things for me. One, I enjoyed the page info for my character so I could see my items, much like the EQ2players site for our characters now.
But, I mostly used the program to parse my inventory and bank so that I had a good list in my directory of everything I have. This comes in most useful as the guild banker and keep track of merchant items. Anyone thinking of doing this? Or want to? It was so useful in EQlive, I just miss it like milk and cookies on a sunday night watching Disney. Den |
Per Magelo website forums, EQ2Magelo is "In the Works"

Hehe.. Im not holding my breath for the Magelo team to create anything. I wonder if it is even feasible with how the data is transfered.
|
most likely it is, i know someone already got into the packets to get the current live positions of mobs in a zone (which is of course against the EULA and should NOT EVER be used). Main point, probably possible if you have enough time/experience on your hands.

There as been a EQ2 Item collecter out for some time now But SOE's Enforcers went to see him and he had to take it off the web. I'm sure that all the money we payed magelo while we played EQ, they have some resources to buff them from the enforcers. I realy hope so as SOE item data bas is very lacking.

I would imagine anything Magelo like would be halted by SOE as it DIRECTLY competes with thier value added eq2players service.

Well, the whole EQ2players thing pretty much gives them "reason" to enforce the lawl upon others. I mean an EQ2 Magelo might be more "easy to use" ect ect, and probably cheaper ;) But yeah... I'm glad that EQ2 has the character pages at eq2players. I thought it was a great idea to have, and that no MMORPG should be without it :D
*Edit* Yeah, what Agathorn said, somehow missed his post. |
Hmm just visted magelo and they seem to be going forwards so heres to hoping. :nana: :nana: :nana:
