Only 1 Instance?

whenever i try to use the auto updater it says only 1 instance of the program can be running, but im not running it anywhere else. Any idea how to fix this?

ok, i just ran updater again and it asked me if this was my eq2 directory. i selected no and it then asked me to select my eq2.exe file. instead of selecting anything i just closed it and then the updater ran. it downloaded all the maps and then said error running eq2.exe and asked me to run it. i then closed the updater and it said error saveing changes. i ran eq 2 and no maps. i loged out of eq2 and tried to run the updater again and this time it didnt ask me anything it just gave me the error message again saing that only 1 instance can be used and updater wont work...=( so i log on to eq2 and now all of a sudden i have the maps? weird. but updater still wont run because of that error and now every few mins the updater pops up on my comp for 1 sec and then closes itself.
