chat window
 

Cant get the 2nd chat window to stay after i log out. when i log back in its gone.but only happens with 1 of my chars.useing Tyejae noght steel 3.3 by aeeolag.am i missing somthing,

Probably a corrupt character eq2uisettings.ini file for that character.
If you have another character setup like you want, just copy that characters ini file and rename to your problem characters file name.

I have the same problem, deleting and redoing my interface does not fix it.

Interface/UI wouldn't be the cause of this as it is only occuring on one character...

You need to delete the servername_charactername_eq2uisettings.ini file located in your EverQuest II directory.
This file retains the window settings such as position and fade settings along with chat custimizations.

Let me know if I need to explain further/better. :)

I had the same problem and using a different servername_charactername_eq2uisettings.ini file fixed it completely for me.

I use 4 chat windows all with different display settings ..

After deleting ALL my ui files and doing one from "fresh" nothing..
I logged in and placed everything where i wanted it made all changes
I wanted and logged out properly .

When I logged back in the only thing left was the main chat window
with whatever changes I made for that ..

help help :confused:

You CAN NOT use a fresh ui_settings.in file made by eq ATM. EQ is corrupting every UI settings file it makes. You need to download the one that can be found in ui peices in the misc section.

For the love of god please post a sicky on chat window not staying post:P
