Little help? on step 5 in [howto]

I am attempting to learn how to do the mapping to help out around here, but I am having a small problem. I was able to complete steps 1,2,3, and 4, in the [how to] thread, without a hitch, but in step 5, I am unable to open the map_blank.dds file with PSP 9.

I downloaded an installed all of the utilities and plugins while in administration mode (winxp). I have created map.bat, logfile.txt, I then ran map.bat, exported map.png from inkscape (map of zone looks perfect), but cannot open a .dds file in PSP 9.

When I start Paint Shop Pro 9, I went to file > preferences > file locations then scrolled down to plug-ins, made sure the plug-ins were in that directory, checked all the boxes, clicked ok, then restarted PSP 9. When I try to open a .dds file, I get the message "plugin caused an access violation".

Can you think of a reason I would be receiving an access violation? Did I miss something? Am I missing any dll files?

I would really appreciate some help with this if you can lend your expertise. Also, I am having fun learning the process.

Yeah, I reinstalled several times, and followed the directions on that pdf file, except it says to dump "these required dll files" into c:\windows\system folder. The problem with that is that I didn't see a download for the dll files.

Do you have a link for those dll files? I searched the site to no avail.

Thanks for the very quick response :)
