Hotbars labeling themselves

Noticed this bug recently, prolly after LU 10 but not sure. I normally keep 4 rows of hotkeys up, and as you know there's only 3 different ways to classify the hotbars (primary, secondary and tertiary) with corresponding shortcuts. Well for some reason my 4th bank keeps turning itself into another "Alt" row, and on top of that fancies itself the row that gets activated when I use the alt + # shortcut, instead of the original Alt row. Closing it out and reopening it does usually get rid of the labels but in time after i zone or what have you they return.

Anyone else having this issue?

Eloora,

This isn't an interface problem, I've been having the exact same thing going on for months and am only recently running eq2maps.

As you said, closing the bar and reopening it will most times fix it, closing it before logging will too.

Hmmm, well I noticed when I tried to make another hotkey bank my primary it caused things to go wonkers like that for a while. Finally fixed itself after I closed the fourth key bank and left only the three key banks. So if you are using more than three banks of keys, try closing all but the main 3.

Kazgore, are you incinuating that eq2maps might be responsible for this bug? Seems unlikely to me.
As for not using more than 3 bars, well...I have 4 up for a reason. Trying to find a spell in my spellbok that I don't use often but still use enough to want to put on a hotbar is too cumbersome IMO. I hope these little post LU 10 oddities get fixed soon :(

This bug has been around long before LU10. Your hot bars still work, ie the one u assign to prime, alt and ctr stay the same. Just the lables get fubar'ed.

Has anyone bothered to look into this issue to see just what's causing it? Does it only happen when using a custom hotbar mod? Does it only happen when more than 3 windows are open all the time, or can it also occur when you occaisionally open a new one? Has anyone not experienced this issue at all? If so tell us what mod you are using and how many hotbars you keep up.

Just wanted to note that the generic character settings file available for download does not permanently fix this issue either.

Thanks

I had the problem for a while and then it went away . No idea why.
But I had a more recent problem. Every time I logged in My Alt+ bar was longer associated to Alt+ . I would have to redefine it each time. The last patch seems to have fixed it tho.
If you are still having this problem it may not hurt to close all but one hotbar and log out and back in. Remake your other hotbars and then log out and back in and see if the problem reoccurs.

Pretty sure this was addressed in a recent update, as I no longer have the issue and there was something in the update notes about 'fixing it so that users can have 4 rows of hotbars'.
