Test server updater not launching Testeq2exe
 

EDIT by taco-man: This issue is now resolved in the most recent version of the updater.

I've searched for about an hour now for the answer to this, but have come up empty.

I have test server installed, in the Test Server folder in my eqii directory.

EQ2Map autoupdater works fine with normal EQ2. But when I select Start > Eq2Map Updater > Update Test Server, it launches in a strange way.

I can tell it is NOT launching Testeq2.exe because the "Test server version blahblah" is not at the top of the first "agree/decline" EULA page.

If I continue forward, I WILL see my test server characters, but will get "Could not locate World: Test" and then it will search through login servers.


What do I need to change here? I see no options in the eq2map ini.

that is my fault :( i did not understand how the test server worked. for now you will have to open up eq2map_config.cfg which is located at: C:\Program Files\EQ2MAP Updater
(notepad will work to open it) and change the line below
<OptionName>AutoLaunchFile</OptionName>
to
<OptionValue>TestEQ2.exe</OptionValue>

here is an example of what that part should look like because that could be slightly confusing. that part should look something like:
<ConfigValues>
<OptionName>AutoLaunchFile</OptionName>
<OptionValue>TestEQ2.exe</OptionValue>
</ConfigValues>

Will I need to change this back when I go to use normal eq2 servers? That's fine for now, just curious.

this issue is now resolved with the newest version of the updater.

Has never worked for me, still doesn't even though all the paths and filenames look correct.
