Haxdoor Virus found tonight(not related to eq2map)
 

After using this for a long time, Tonight, my virus scanner detected a virus called Haxdoor something. Can you guys look into it?

I can assure you that it wasn't caused by eq2map.

No virus here. Also the server the xml/dds files are stored on runs a linux virus scanner called clamscan and would delete any virus on site. Plus XML and DDS can not be infected with a virus because xml is basically a text file and dds files are graphic files.

Symantec shows that virus as being an email distribution one...

Hmmm ... Just out of curiosity do you play a game called Runescape By Jagex? and if so have you been looking for info on quests etc around other sites etc reguarding that game?


(Note, not that there is anything suspect with that game or Jagex, Just 90% of the sites that provide "info" on that game contain Trojan's)

no i dont play runescape.....since i cleaned the virus it hasnt come back. I was certain it wasnt anything intentional just wanted the people to check to make sure something wasnt tampered with.
