question on chaning auto update folder

so i have a few diff UI mods DL i am playing with.. im kinda leaning towards the new Fetish Steel Mod someone tossed together.. has elements of both i like.. (boy i sure would love to learn to do this, i know what i want, but doing it is another matter)

and i first installed eq2 map auto updater to my "Custom" folder..
now i want eq2 to auto update my "steel" ui folder...

when it auto updates its sitll updating the custome folder i believe, therefore when i load my "steel" ui folder my maps are not updated...

Is there a DL im missing to manually download updated map files?

or is there way i can change which folder is updated by the auto update proggy?

Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling eq2 auto updater , however im not given a choice to choose a new folder to update... so its basically stuck on the custom one..

Now im just kinda looking for a DL that has new maps cause certain ones are out of date... (river vale east doesnt even exist... and is there a freerott map yet?)

thanks anyone who may help...

You are gonna feel dumb I think... :)

The updater looks at the eq2.ini file and uses the "cl_ui_skinname custom" line to find your UI folder. Please change that and re-run the program. :)

If it's not reading the eq2.ini folder correctly...

-Create a shortcut to the updater
-Right-click and click Properties
-Add /seteq2dir to the end of the Target field
-Run the shortcut.

This will bring up a File dialog box looking for Everquest2.exe. Select it and it will reset the patch target folder to whatever is in your eq2.ini

*checks his code for the updater
yep as soon as you switch your ui to use a different folder the updater will start downloading to that. It does not save what folder it used last time anywhere, it just reads your eq2.ini file every time it is run and updates to whatever folder EQ2 is currently set to use as your custom interface folder.
