Solusek's Eye
This is the volcano area in lavastorm. Very very big, very twisty and overlappy. i broke what ive got done into 5 lvls to separate as best i can. see how it goes.
ive mapped the .. upper 2/3 of it. the extra 1/3 at the bottom is so far below as to not conflict w/ it at all and can be added later. id like to go forward with what i have here however. ill now copy paste my 5 txt files in difnt replies. there are three issues w/ lvl 4. ill go into it on that reply. w/out further ado ... ... ok nevermind, i cant copy paste the txt cause the site times out and says something about max line 30 at line 1625.. something. cant attach the txt cause i ahve a 19k limit cant attach it as an ace because the file type is disallowed. ill mail it to tony; check your email. |

:eek: just set outlook to get your mail every so many minutes, then you never have to click that button, and you will hear when you get new mail

solusek 1 2 and 3 have been reworked and uploaded by tony. 4 and 5 are forthcoming.

somethings not working here i guess, downloaded the soluseks maps via autoupdater, but dont get them shown. Other dungeons are working.

yep it seems its not added in the eq2ui_mainhud_map.xml...you'll have to wait for quib on this i think he is the only one of us who can add to that file...ill check.
or you can add it yourself for now. solusekseye_0 -144.59,-222.33,340.72,300.89 solusekseye_1 -161.37,-37.92,228.43,164.89 solusekseye_2 155.45,-158.78,354.08,128.37 solusekseye_3 -142.32,-181.43,295.99,213.54 solusekseye_4 -142.33,-330.39,298.24,207.43 maps will need heightmin and heightmax too. these are found by doing a /loc at the point where map transition should occur. |
if you're interested, i set the transitions at
all pos through -70.0 -70.1 to -140 -140.1 to -221 -221.1 to -350 -350.1 to -400 i didnt edit anything to give myself maps while waiting for quib, those are just the lvls i divided the maps into during plotting.. you can try what he said above using those as z-axis map triggers if you like. some of those altitudes are beyond where the levels actually occur, there just some longish elevators, and setting the transitions there may give you a moment to view the new map enroute, and plan your movements. |
all the zonerects are correct now.

Sorry to raise a zombie here, but the ZoneRect on Level 4 has never been quite right. The W/E setting is wrong.
Does anyone still have the Level 4 logfile and/or could they fix the Zone Rect for it? I hope to be able to get down to map levels 5 and beyond. I'll have to see if I can twist some of my guildie's arms to help me out :) |
