Errors trying to install. help please? :)

Hi, hoping someone can help :)

I have my EQ2 installed to a local drive with the path F:\Everquest II
I'm on a Windows 11 Home environment

launching unified without admin from \ui folder. Yes to the 4 options. Do Automatically.

Loads 182 elements, each with the line ...done

Once it finishes downloading, I get a window stating "There was a problem with Bag. Please download it again." I click ok and it goes through 45 of those until I get:

Microsoft .NET Framework error:
Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. (yadda yadda)
Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index

clicking details reveals:

My utilitylog is attached, if that might also help.

Edit: removed log file, helpful but contains personal info

if it might also help, this is what I've got as far as .net:

Currently installed "classic" .NET Versions in the system:
2.0.50727.4927 Service Pack 2
3.0.30729.4926 Service Pack 2
3.5.30729.4926 Service Pack 1
4.0.0.0
4.8.09032

Two things to try:

1. At the bottom of the utility, make sure it says "Using standard download method." Security was tightened recently and the alternate download method is no longer usable.

2. If you are using Malwarebytes, try suspending it just long enough to get updates. Malwarebytes is (incorrectly) flagging the files.

Please post again if downloads are still failing.

Ok I feel like a dunce! Disabling Malwarebytes did it.

You know, so so so many times you get the warning and it ends up not affecting anything at all.

Apologies for being slow on the uptake LOL

And super big thanks for the quick response. You're awesome and you do great work!

Thanks again :)
