Custom Loadscreen?
 

I'm thinking about a modification for my guild to replace/add loadscreens made from guild screenshots.

With everything known here, is this possible?

I have toyed around with it some, eveything short of replacing each existing DDS with a custom one and have had no luck thusfar. Thanks in advance for any tips.

Just for clarification you are talking about the Loading Zone Screens and not the initial Load Screens where say NVidia and Dell's logo's are right?

Aye, the zoneing screens, not the splash screens at startup.

The ones found under images/loadscreen/random

Replace UI/images/loadscreens/random/drawing_01.dds with another DDS of your choice. Trash the others.

If trashing the others causes problems, just dupe your image a enough times to replace them all ;)

Haven't tried this, but I'd bet it's pick list isn't hardcoded, rather a directory listing.

I played with this myself. It works beautifully. I used Insomniac's Zoning Mod as a base. Since I'm a giant nerd I have anime loadscreens now!

On this note, I created a DDS file for the loading screen. But it keeps showing up too low, even tho the picture is centered in the file. And, it randomly shows other default windows. I have the file structure so that its in the /loadscreens/random file of my ui, but it shows the other screens at times.

Is there something in the php that I can change so that is shows the correct information and only the loading screen I want?
