Updating a second location
I use two different UIs between test and live. I would love to have maps on test is there anyway to have the updater switch locations or perhaps run two instances of the updater?
yes, read the part of the description in the download that has /seteq2dir: its in the command line arguments section.
Ok got that figured out but just learned it recognizes it by the everquest.exe so no way to work it out for the testeverquest.exe :)
my test folder has a everquest2.exe does yours not have one?
I should be releasing a new version that will make the test server easier so you may want to just wait if its confusing. |
It does have an everquest2.exe but I think it still registers it to the main folder and not the test folder because when I did change it, it said that there was no updates.
I thought I would try it again or just check to see what the properties for that exe in the test server was and it was the right location and the second time I tried it, it worked :)
Sorry if I had you thinking or working too hard :D |
