Running two ui's?
I already gave another ui folder in my eq directory(bare with me, Im new at this) for another program I am running. How do i install one of these interaces and run the other one as well?
If you are going to use multiple interface peices just unzip all of them into the same folder. Go back to your Everquest II directory and create a new text file and put the following code inside of it: Code: cl_ui_skinname bobsui cl_ui_subdir UI/Save the file as eq2.ini (make sure you dont save it as eq2.txt or eq2.ini.txt) Load up Everquest II and your new interface should be working. The Code part is what is already installed into my eq2 ui folder with the eq2.ini file from that author. But its a different program, not an skin or interface. Do i simple unzip the files from a interface from this site and install it into the ui folder the same way? Are the eq2.ini identical? Because one already exits from another program im running. Thanks and I will continue to search for the answers. |
You can only use 1 UI at a time.
If you want to switch, you have to change your INI file before you load the game. If your downloading single window pieces (as in not full-UI sets) you can then just place the files in the same UI folder. Most single-piece UI downloads are compatible, but there are always exceptions. |
What I have currently us
C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\UI\newfolderIwastoldtomakeforui Inside that folder I have something similar to cl_ui_skinname newfolderiwastoldtomakeforui cl_ui_subdir UI/ I also have the eq2.ini for that ui which is in the eq2ii folder. So am I supposed to dl an interface from here and unzip it into the C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\UI\newfolderIwastoldtomakeforui Then switch out the ini's for which ever one I wish to run before startup? |
