Updater Bugged
I tried to run the updater. It says Everquest2.exe not found. I 'Choose' and go to the C:\Programdata\Sony\Installed Games\Everquest II\Everquest2.exe.
It says Everquest2.exe is not found and round and round I go. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Nothing. I uninstalled Java 6.0. Installed Java 7.0 .... 1 reinstalled everything. Same result.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: :mad::mad::mad: |
Updater Bugged 2
I formated my drive, installed Everquest 2, Installed Java 7.0 - 5.
It still can't find Everquest2.exe even when I provide the path. Oh I'm using W7 Home. (HP Pavilion p6267c):mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: |
Also having the problem since I installed Java 7. Not sure if that is a coincidence or the reason.

Problem dissapeared
The problem suddenly dissapeared.

I continue to fail since installing Java 7
I get a message saying Unable to Launch the Application |
Have you tried going back to updater.pala.de and reloading the updater from there? I've occasionally had the application-code cache in Java get cleared and the updater won't run until it's been rerun directly from the site (I assume that causes the class files needed to be downloaded again).

That's a great idea. I had constant problems with the updater breaking because Java is brain dead and installs essential files in temporary folders. I would run CCleaner to de-clutter my system and the updater would break. In this case I solved the problem by excluding Sun Java from the cleanup process. Buy any process that removes temporary files has the potential to destroy an installed Java program.

Updater still fails to launch with Java 7, have tried every suggestion I have seen here with no change
