Login Rejected Msg!! Help!
 

This is the message I'm getting when I try to log into Map updater

"Login Rejected" " This clients version does not match the server's. Please re-run the patcher"



Halp please as I LOATHE the default UI

Nothing to do with EQ2Map... you need to update your EQ2 Launcher you're using an out dated version. They announced this a week ago (see our front page news).

Then you'll need to update EQ2Maps options to use the new launcher by changing the Autolaunch EQ2 path to the new launcher exe.

but doesnt it auto update? i thought i was using the new launcher

how do the update EQ2 maps to change the path?

if you just point the new launcher to where you have eq2 already installed all it will do is update the files and you can then launch eq2 with the new launcher,if you have already used eq2maps before you wont need to do anything at all as the path hasn't been changed .

If your using the new launcher then it should look like the picture....




Many people were using version 1 of the launcher and that did not auto update.

Go to EQ2Map options and the Autolaunch path find the LaunchPad.exe in your EverQuest II directory.

yep that is what i was using but i uninstalled everything and am re-installing from the link you gave earlier and hopefully that will work with the fixing the directory info

This is what you need to do then...

Right click on your EverQuest II icon, it should be a black one like in the picture below. Then choose properties.


Now keep that properties widow open and open up EQ2Map and press the options button until the options window opens. Now make sure the paths are as shown with the arrows...

ok i did everything i was instructed to do and checked everyting against the photos above but after doing that when i tried to launch it takes me to the new launch pad to re-install again??

What happens if you launch EQ2 with the black icon?

So i've pretty much tried everything i could to get map updater to work.. I've updated it but then didnt' do auto launch and logged int through the regular launcher and nada uninstalled and reinstalled it ..I even re-updated maps from the options and still not working for me

If you have done an EQ2MAP update and there is no maps in game you have the wrong path set, check Dolbys post above and try again.
