new launch window

I have always launched EQ2 through the profit UI directory linked in my eq2 maps button. Since the expac install yesterday when I try to launch the way I always have, I do not get a launch window, I get some star trek looking chat box instead and thats as far as it gets. I searched forums and installed the launcher from the provided links but doing so makes the game launch from a default EQ2 button which then circumvents any of my UI desires and I end up with that default crap. What am I over looking????

re new launch window

Go into settings in your profit window and select file paths. You will see on bottom... launch path..hit choose..and make sure you choose program data, sony, installed games, everquest2 and finally Launchpad.exe..should work fine.

Good point. The new LaunchPad is changing launch paths for a lot of people, so custom stuff like EQ2Maps and the UIs will need to have their path setting updated.

What I found and did was just download the launcher (I was using the L1 version) and just pointed it to where I had EQ2 installed and everything is fine,it has not changed any paths ect.

Good to hear. That's the way it's supposed to work. :)
