EQ2 not launching
 

Hello and a big sorry, because i know my problem is in the wrong forum, maybe there is no subforum for it here.
The reason i write is, that here are many people experienced with EQ2 and for sure technical things around it. today i installed windows 7 on my new computer and the sony-station-launchpad too, and from there i installed EQ2 then.
As the install was done, i clicked LAUNCH GAME, then the bar in the middle changed to LAUNCHING, and after a bit it changed to LAUNCH GAME again, and that was it.
Very strange but this way i dont get the game running.
(Planetside is not running also, brings up a Runtime error).
I googled and found that the 32-bit and the 64-bit version of W7 work finde with EQ2...well not for me.
Help is very welcome here, and sorry again.

Edit: as i tried to start eq2 directly, without launcher , i got a error message saying that the file d3dx9_35.dll is missing. I downloaded it in the net and threw it into the System/windows-file as suggested, and eq2 started properly, from the launcher also.

Just the Runtime problem with Planetside still exists.

Edit: all solved, planetside running via combatibility mode xp sp3. Thanks :)
