Two questions from a player on both US and German servers

I'll keep this brief:

1) While playing the US version of the game, how do I configure the in-game clock to display 24-hour time? I miss this from the German version!

2) While playing the German localization of the game, how do I configure Profit to display the more attractive, bolder UI serif font found in the original version? I miss this too!

Thanks for your help in advance. Viele Grüße!

I've temporarily solved this issue:

As you can see, though, this will require additional work on the part of UI coders, including those involved with Profit.

ProfitUI makes a point of not modifying defaultUI fonts, so this has nothing to do with ProfitUI.

However, ProfitUI does contain code to adjust positioning of some text on the German server, because even the same fonts are rendered differently on the German client than they are on all other clients.

Hi there. My point was that the references in the UI pieces to FontZapf15.xml, for example, are a dead-end in non-US localizations, because as things currently stand this sort of coding shortcut is loaded only in the US localization style algorithms. It produces Times New Roman rather than Zapf. I had to go in and manually change such shortcuts to /TextStyles.Normal.NormalStyle, for example, to make the font display correctly. The zone-loading window and travel maps come to mind, and even there I haven't been able to "translate" everything.

And my point was, default UI loads Font_Euro_Zapf15.xml instead of Font_Zapf15.xml, so if you add a Font_Euro_Zapf15.xml for the font you want into your custom UI you should be ok, unless I misunderstood what you want.

There are still rendering differences in Smooth Fonts mode on the German client though for some reasons that you cannot do anything about.

Thanks. Do you mean simply dragging the .xml font files into the custom directory or altering the text in the corresponding ui files, or both?

Copy the file into your custom UI folder, open it up in an editor and you'll see that it defines FontName="Times New Roman". Stick the font you want instead into it and you're set.

Marvelous, thank you!
