A twist on the letterboxing
 

I've tinkered around with rooting the letterbox to the top and bottom and was wondering if there was any way to make both the top and the bottom letterbox a different size?

tried before, the letterbox is a hardcoded thing. and is always equal top to bottom.

Of course, theres nothing stopping anyone from putting 2 resizable black boxes at the top and bottom of the screen and throwing alwaysonbottom="true" in their window pages...

cl_letter_box_position runs on a scale of 0 (top) to 1 (bottom) with a default of 0.5 (center). You can adjust this value either by typing /cl_letter_box_position X in-game or by placing it in your eq2.ini file.

Unfortunately, it screws up targetting and the positioning of the names above the heads of NPCs, so using it is not recommended.
