Hotbars
I have recently uninstalled and reinstalled the game and profit ui. My problem has started since I've used dual monitors prior to the uninstall (I did in hopes it would fix the problem). When I set my hotbars exactly like I want for my large monitor, I save the .xml file as 0_0_Large_eq2_uisettings.xml Then, when that toon needs to be on the smaller monitor, I switch it to the preset 1024 resolution. The problem is that a few rogue hotbars stay from the larger resolution. I am not sure where the setting of these hotbars is stemming from. Once I tell profit to use one of the preset settings and the rogue hotbars pop up, I close them all down to one hotbar, copy the current user's eq2_uisettings.xml file to a custom one, load the preset 1024 again, then back to the custom I just saved and BAM they are back again. What gives? The only .xml files I am messing with are in the main eq2 directory and are the ones I create 0_0_ToonsNameandSize_eq2_uisettings.xml and the presets. Are there other files I need to be editing?

Does anyone happen to know the names of the hotbars inside the .xml file? Perhaps the presets aren't setup to use all 10 hotbars like I do and I just need to edit the names in. It's super annoying to use a preset and still have to move hotbars each time and enable the spinner. That's why we use the presets yea? :)

I compared the default 1680x1050 with my character's current uisettings file. The default pre-defines 6 hotbars. Here's what the first one looks like:
Code:
<Window Name="Hotkey_clone_0" alignment="5" alignment_offset="85,-20" backdrop_mo_o="0" backdrop_n_o="0" foreground_mo_o="1" foreground_n_o="1" frame_mo_o="0" frame_n_o="0" locked="true" size="396,32" visible="true" window_style="0">It might be easier to set the hotbars as you want them on the small monitor and save that uisettings file separately, rather than tinker with the defaults. -= Therendil =- |
Thanks, I did some testing and so far so good. I am going to add all hotkeys 0-9 to all presets that don't have them and put visible="false" to the ones I don't want to be seen. Much appreciated on the help.

Excellent. Glad to hear it.
